Chi Gung Tui Na

Tui Na Bodywork is Chinese therapeutic massage.

Chi Gung Tui Na is the manipulation of the body's subtle energy as well as the physical tissue, joints, internal organs and fluids. Manipulation can be directly "on the spot" or by linking from the arms and legs through either the connective tissue, the synovial fluid, the cerebro-spinal fluid and/or the energy channels of the body.

When learning Chi Gung Tui Na the idea is that you can manipulate the external muscular frame as well as the internal systems of your own body before commencing work on another. Therefore all that you learn in Chi Gung/Nei Gung can be applied to another in Tui Na.

Chi Gung Tui Na and the internal martial arts are two sides of the same coin. The Chi Gung/Nei Gung is the coin, one face is Tui Na for healing others, the other face is the martial arts used for hurting others - reverse medicine. From a Taoist point of view Chi Gung, Martial Arts and Tui Na are inseperable, they all come from the same source and are only different in application.
